Date of Birth: 1977
Experience:
Photography & Me: together for the last two years! The truth is
however that I have started to develop my skills significantly only
in England. Currently I work for the graphic studio Dune Design &
Training (www.dunedesign.co.uk) and its departments Dune Images (www.duneimages.co.uk)
and Kidsshots (www.kidsshots.co.uk). Before I worked in Poland for
‘Gazeta Wyborcza’ (Wyborcza Newspaper) as kind of graphic
designer. My photography’s have been published in this Newspaper
in the article about BMX riders.
Education:
I gained a he amount of my skills through self-development –
the topic of photography is no different to that. Besides any photographer
knows that what counts the most is practice, profound studies on individual
photo and willingness of expressing individual and subjective thoughts.
If you work with people a lot depends on your interpersonal skills,
manners and contacts with other people (this is a really sensitive
issue so often neglected). In this matter I owe a lot to Graham Gardner
– a graphic, photographer and filmmaker who has been passing
his knowledge on me in a very straightforward and scrupulous manner.
We work as a team at the present moment.
Digital cameras:
I’ve tested almost every single Canon model of camera available
in the marked. I started with simple powershots, a few taken with
Canon G5 (which I really liked because it gave the possibility of
taking photos from hiding). The first semi-professional digital camera
was Canon 300D (quite slow and very unhandy – however this is
my personal opinion).
I worked a little with 350D (supper shutter and pretty good possibilities)
and Canon 400D with EF 50mm f1.8L (actually my personal camera –
I carry it always with me in my bag) when it comes to professional
reflex digital cameras I currently use 5D and 1D mark II with lenses:
Canon EF 135mm f2.0 L USM, EF 24-70mm f2.8L USM, EF 70-200mm f2.8L
IS USM.
Analog camera:
I used a bit Mamiye RB 67 SD; before that Minolte; Zenit and my dad’s
cameras (at the age of 10-12) Voigtländer BRILLANT.
Extras:
Lighting – natural and professional studio;
Files – only RAW;
Computer programmes – Adobe Photoshop;
Software – Mac at work and PC at home.
